On a rainy day or when the snowstorm hits it can some times be tricky to find things to do with the kids indoors. Or perhaps when the kids are home being sick but are getting better and gaining some energy you may struggle to find fun activities for the kids. Dad.do lists loads of fun things for most ages, we try to give you as a dad a good range of fun indoor activities for kids. We have also tagged our doings by age so you can find activities for toddlers as well as for older children and both boys and girls.

Try to avoid screen-based activities, it is better to do something more tangible, and usually way more fun for all parties. You don't necessarily need to run around in the house or building castles to have fun indoors. You can also just read a book or do some **crafts for kids, **your children just want to spend time with you and your connection and relationship will grow. Make sure you spend time with the kids now while they still want you around, there will most likely come a time where your kids don't want to spend time with you and you will regret not spending those extra hours together with them.

We strive to create a community for dads where they can spend more quality time with their kids and be more active in playing together. We scratch our own itch in terms of seeing the need for things to do, or a bigger variety of activities. Research shows that time spent with kids is important for the development of the kids. Also, the connection with the dad is proven to affect many things in the future life of your kids, and especially the lack of connection and affection can be very damaging.

As dads ourselves at dad.do we know that it sometimes might be easy and tempting to give in for TV or screentime but it is way more fun for everyone if you spend time together and actually do fun activities. If the weather is not on your side you can stay indoors and play together, we have loads of great and fun things to do. And the best thing is that you will always get the best suggestions from us. All doings can be rated and the list of things is always based on the top-rated activities. We have great plans for the future and we strive to engage more dads and get them involved even more in the kids' development. You can help our community of dads by rating the activities and by all means, suggest your own activities that you usually do and that your kids really enjoy. We would, of course, be very grateful if you could share dad.do or any of your favorite things to do with kids indoors in your social media or just tell your friends about us and our community for dads. We are always open to suggestions and we appreciate any support we can get. We are in this for the dads and for the kids!
